Nine Turning Mirrors was the Grand Vizier of the Agatean Empire during Twoflower's visit to Ankh-Morpork.
He was secretly ruling the Empire through the young emperor, having served some emperors before him. It is suggested that he killed emperors when they asked too many questions, but died from a failed attempt to poison the current emperor who in turn made him eat the poison.
Upon his soul‘s release by Mort, his soul is awaited by the ghosts of former emperors.
