A Collegiate Casting-Out of Devilish Devices is a Discworld short story written by Terry Pratchett. It was first published on May 13th, 2005, the The Times Higher Education Supplement.

The short story describes a meeting of the Unseen University Faculty where a proposal put forward by Patrician Havelock Vetinari to introduce regulation of university education is discussed. The meeting reveals the Faculty's attitude towards teaching in general, and the fact that, while they are senior wizards, it is doubtful that they actually do anything on a daily basis. The story references A.E. Pessimal as the Inspector of Universities, a character that would later have a significant role in Thud!
